Don & Mary Robidoux have been in the Bed & Breakfast accommodation business since 1983. That is the year the hotel bug infected Don. He was tired of Los Angeles with the crowds and congestion. So off they went to Palm Springs, then Borrego Springs in California and then to Arizona. After 7 years in retirement, they purchased the Tubac Poston House Inn. The lure of the village was too much.
The small hotel was the perfect antidote to excessive retirement. Located in the historic location of the village, the Poston House Inn has been occupied since the 1850s.
Built as the Tubac Presidio’s commandant house, and then an office for Charles Poston’s mining company, the Bed & Breakfast is a 3 minute walk to the Anza Trail along the Santa Cruz River. Guests can hike 5 miles on the trail to the Tumacácori Mission originally built in 1691 by Father Kino and later expanded by Franciscan Missionaries.
