So off they went to Palm Springs, then Borrego Springs in California and then to Arizona. After 7 years in retirement, they purchased the Tubac Poston House Inn. The lure of the village was too much.

Built as the Tubac Presidio’s commandant house, and then an office for Charles Poston’s mining company, the Bed & Breakfast is a 3 minute walk to the Anza Trail along the Santa Cruz River. Guests can hike 5 miles on the trail to the Tumacácori Mission originally built in 1691 by Father Kino and later expanded by Franciscan Missionaries.
